Ormco Enlight Light Cure Adhesive Syringe

Ormco Enlight Light Cure Adhesive is part of the Enlight Bonding System, a highly filled light-cure orthodontic adhesive formulated with Bis-GMA resin. It offers excellent handling characteristics, easy clean-up, and reliable bond strength for efficient orthodontic bonding procedures.

The adhesive features a highly active initiator system that supports reduced curing times while maintaining consistent and durable bracket adhesion for both metal and ceramic brackets.

Features :

Tooth Preparation :

• Place lip/cheek retractor and saliva ejector
• Prophy teeth thoroughly with pumice and water
• Rinse using a high-speed evacuation system
• Dry teeth with an air syringe
• Apply etchant solution to bonding surfaces with applicator sponges
• Gently dab the etchant; do not rub
• Continuously dab fresh etchant for 30 seconds for best results
• Rinse thoroughly with forceful air-water spray and suction
• Maintain a dry field and avoid saliva contamination
• Dry etched enamel until a uniform, dull frosty appearance is achieved

Bonding Procedure :

• Dispense a small amount of sealant onto a mixing pad
• Apply Ortho Solo sealant to the teeth using the provided brushes
• Ensure a thin, uniform coating covering all etched enamel
• Replace the cap immediately after dispensing the sealant
• Extrude a small amount of Enlight adhesive paste onto the bracket base
• Clean the syringe tip after dispensing and replace the cap
• Place the bracket onto the tooth surface immediately
• Adjust to final position and press firmly
• Remove excess adhesive from around the bracket base
• Light cure:
  • Metal brackets: 10 seconds
  • Ceramic brackets: 5 seconds (light through the bracket)
  • For metal brackets, divide curing time between mesial and distal edges
• Active archwires may be placed immediately after curing the final bracket

Shelf Life & Storage :

• Do not expose materials to intense light or elevated temperatures
• Use Enlight adhesive at ambient temperature

Caution :

• Etching Solution: Contains 37% phosphoric acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and soft tissues. In case of contact, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention for eye exposure. Do not ingest.
• Sealant and Paste: Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin and oral tissues. Wash skin with soap and water after contact. Uncured materials may cause contact dermatitis. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
• Use in a well-ventilated area
• Keep containers closed when not in use
