API Tips for Endoactivator / Sonic Irrigator – Pack of 20 (Large)

API Tips for Endoactivator / Sonic Irrigator are designed for use with the API Sonic Endo Activator and Dentsply EndoActivator systems. These tips feature an easy snap-on / snap-off design and are manufactured from strong, flexible medical-grade polymer to ensure safe and efficient irrigation during endodontic procedures.

Indications:

• Agitation of irrigating solutions during endodontic debridement
• Disruption of smear layer and biofilm during root canal treatment
• Use with sonic irrigator handpiece or driver
• Promotes deep cleaning and disinfection of lateral canals, fins, webs, and anastomoses

Precautions:

• To avoid contamination of the root canal, disinfect the irrigator tip before use
• Clean tips using gauze moistened with a disinfecting solution such as sodium hypochlorite
• For infection control, select the appropriately sized tip and remove it from the plastic package immediately before use
• Irrigator tips are intended for single-patient use only
• Dispose of tips properly after use
• Do not autoclave the tips
• Never twist, turn, or torque the tips during removal
• Do not use clockwise or counter-clockwise motion when removing the tip

Directions to Use:

• API Sonic Endo Activator tips can be easily placed due to the snap-on / snap-off design
• Prepare the canal to achieve a fully tapered shape
• Fill the pulp chamber with EDTA, NaOCl, or any other final rinsing solution
• Select an irrigation tip that fits loosely within 2 mm of the working length
• Three types of irrigation tips are available: Small, Medium, and Large
• Place the barrier sleeve over the entire length of the handpiece
• Attach the irrigator tip over the barrier-protected handpiece

Irrigator Tip Removal:

• Firmly support the head of the handpiece with your thumb
• Grasp the white circular flange portion of the irrigator tip with the opposite thumb and forefinger
• Maintain support of the handpiece and pull the irrigator tip straight off
• Keep the handpiece head and irrigator tip aligned during removal
• The irrigator tip snaps on and off only when aligned correctly
