Coltene Pressure Spot Indicator

Coltene Pressure Spot Indicator is a polysiloxane-based, condensation-type silicone elastomer developed for the precise identification of high-pressure spots in dental prosthetics. This medium-consistency material enables clinicians to evaluate denture fit accurately and identify areas requiring adjustment, improving patient comfort and clinical precision.

The material allows clear visualization of pressure points on both new and existing dentures. It is also suitable for checking the exact fit of indirect restorations such as inlays, crowns, bridges, and cast brackets.

Type:

  • Polysiloxane, condensation-type silicone elastomer
  • Type 2, medium consistency
  • Base: White
  • Catalyst: Green

Indications:

  • Identification of pressure points on new or existing partial and total dentures
  • Determining the need for relining
  • Testing the exact fit of inlays, crowns, bridges, and cast brackets

Features:

  • Polysiloxane material
  • Condensation-type silicone elastomer
  • Low viscosity
  • Specially formulated pressure spot indicator material

Packaging:

  • 1 Ă— 75 ml / 70 g pack

Directions for Use:

  • Take one component with a spatula and spread evenly onto the other component. Do not mix.
  • First, take up half of the mass in one motion using the spatula.
  • Then take up the remaining half in the same manner.
  • Using the flat part of the spatula, spread the mass on the mixing pad, moving right and left with slight pressure.
  • Repeat the spreading steps until a uniform shade is achieved.

Impression Procedure:

  • Coat the interior surface and insert the restoration.
  • Hold in position until the material has completely set.
  • Remove the restoration and mark pressure points using the enclosed marking pen (interrupted layer).
  • Remove the material and adjust marked surfaces by grinding.
  • Material residue may require more time to set at room temperature.
  • Always verify intraorally that the material has set before removal.
  • Intensive mixing, higher temperatures, or excess catalyst accelerate setting.
  • Lower temperatures and insufficient catalyst slow down the setting time.
