Geistlich Bio-Gide – Resorbable Collagen Membrane

Geistlich Bio-Gide is a biocompatible, sterile, resorbable bilayer collagen membrane designed for guided tissue regeneration (GTR) and guided bone regeneration (GBR). Its unique structure supports optimal tissue integration and wound stabilization while promoting predictable bone regeneration.

Manufactured from porcine collagen without artificial cross-linking, the membrane closely resembles human collagen and provides an ideal biological environment for healing. Its natural bilayer structure ensures an effective barrier against soft tissue ingrowth while supporting bone cell and blood vessel development.

The dense smooth surface faces the soft tissue and prevents fibrous tissue from growing into the bone defect, while the rough, open-pored layer supports bone regeneration by serving as a scaffold for bone cells and vascularization. This design enables complication-free healing and improved bone volume and quality.

Geistlich Bio-Gide is commonly used in combination with bone substitute materials such as Geistlich Bio-Oss or Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen to achieve predictable and long-term regenerative results.
