Voco Calcimol Self-Cure

Voco Calcimol Self-Cure is a self-curing, paste–paste calcium hydroxide material designed for pulp protection and cavity lining. It offers reliable handling characteristics and supports the formation of secondary dentine.

The material provides effective pulp protection with a suitable working time and short setting time, making it practical for routine restorative procedures.

Precautions:

• Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any ingredients
• Allow complete curing before placing the final filling to ensure sufficient stability
• Not intended as a temporary filling or as the only liner under masticatory load
• Catalyst may harden at low temperatures; allow to reach room temperature or warm briefly to 40 °C if needed
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucosa due to strong alkaline effect
• Avoid contact with etchants (material is soluble)

• Store at room temperature (15 °C – 23 °C)

Directions for Use:

• Mix equal quantities of base and catalyst (mixing ratio approx. 1.2 : 1 g/g) on a mixing pad or glass plate for about 10 seconds until a homogeneous consistency and uniform color are achieved
• Do not overmix
• Insert the mixed material into the cavity promptly
• At room temperature (15 °C – 23 °C), working time is approximately 2 minutes and setting occurs intraorally within 2–4 minutes
• Higher temperatures and humidity shorten working and setting times
