SDI Wave Flowable Composite
SDI Wave is a versatile, fluoride-releasing, flowable, radiopaque, light-cured composite designed for excellent adaptation and controlled handling. The material is directly injected into the cavity preparation to maximize adaptation and minimize voids.
The Wave shade range includes 14 popular shades—enamel A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B2, B3, C2, C3, D3, incisal, gingival, bleach, and 0A2 dentin. Enamel shades correspond to the VITA classical shade guide. The gingival shade is ideal for restoring cervical lesions in elderly patients, while the bleach shade is suitable for teeth lighter than B1.
Wave is available in three viscosities—Wave (Low Viscosity), Wave MV (Medium Viscosity), and Wave HV (High Viscosity). All variants contain specially treated nano-fillers to maximize polishability, wear resistance, strength, and smooth, controlled extrusion.

Directions for Use
- Clean and isolate the tooth; rubber dam isolation is recommended
- Prepare a conservative cavity with a rounded internal form and sound enamel margins
- Prophy all surfaces to be etched using oil-free, non-fluoridated paste and rinse thoroughly
- Select shade on a clean, moist tooth
- For deep cavities, place calcium hydroxide and appropriate glass ionomer liner
- Dry tooth and etch with 37% phosphoric acid (20 seconds; fluoridated enamel 90–120 seconds)
- Rinse thoroughly and gently air dry, keeping dentin moist
- Apply dentin/enamel adhesive (e.g., SDI Stae), air thin, and light cure for 20 seconds
- Inject Wave in increments of 2 mm or less according to the indication
Caution
- Ensure the dispensing tip is firmly attached to the syringe before use
