SDI Wave Flowable Composite MV Shade

SDI Wave MV (Medium Viscosity) is a versatile, fluoride-releasing, flowable, radiopaque, light-cured composite designed to deliver excellent adaptation and controlled handling. The material is directly injected into the cavity preparation, maximizing marginal adaptation and reducing voids.

Wave MV is part of the Wave system, available in three viscosities—Wave (Low), Wave MV (Medium), and Wave HV (High)—to suit different clinical needs. It incorporates specially treated nano-fillers to enhance polishability, wear resistance, strength, and smooth extrusion.

The Wave shade range includes 14 popular shades: enamel A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B2, B3, C2, C3, D3, incisal, gingival, bleach, and 0A2 dentin. Enamel shades correspond to the VITA classical shade guide. The gingival shade is ideal for cervical lesions in elderly patients, while the bleach shade is suitable for teeth lighter than B1.

Directions for Use

• Clean and isolate the tooth; rubber dam isolation is recommended
• Prepare a conservative cavity with rounded internal form and sound enamel margins
• Prophy all surfaces to be etched using oil-free, non-fluoridated pumice and rinse thoroughly
• Select shade on a clean, moist tooth
• For deep cavities, place calcium hydroxide and glass ionomer liner as required
• Dry tooth and etch with 37% phosphoric acid (20 seconds; fluoridated enamel 90–120 seconds)
• Rinse thoroughly and gently air dry, keeping dentin moist
• Apply dentin/enamel adhesive (e.g., SDI Stae) and light cure for 20 seconds
• Inject Wave MV in increments of 2 mm or less according to the indication
